Holly Borsodi
Masters Women's Competitive Program Coach

Holly started rowing as a junior in high school with the Cincinnati Rowing Club and went on to row for Syracuse University. Upon graduation she coached the Novice Women’s team at the University of Rhode Island and then went on to coach at UCLA. Taking a break from coaching, Holly became an elementary school teacher in San Jose, CA. She decided early on to return to her true love of coaching and started teaching private lessons in Santa Cruz. She later moved to Portland, OR and competed as a Master Rower only to return a couple of years later to teach rowing once again in Santa Cruz. Holly is married to Chris, who enjoys surfing; they have two daughters, Colette and Ella.

Peter Cannia
Masters Men's Competitive Program Coach

Peter (Pete) Cannia has spent most of his life involved in rowing. A San Francisco native, he was taught to row by his father, a member of the South End Rowing Club. Pete previously served as an instructor for the City of Tempe Parks and Recreation Rowing Program and Xavier College Prep as well as Tempe Junior Crew. Pete has qualified multiple boats to the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championships. More than 15 of the rowers he coached have gone on to row in Division 1 college programs.

Certifications – Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness – Arizona State University, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), USRowing Level III, USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 Sport Performance Coach, National Federation of State High School Associations Coach (NFHS).

Coach Brittany Manrubia
Brittany Manrubia
Novice/Intermediate Masters Head Coach

Brittany is LGRC's novice masters rowing coach who helps beginner adults develop their basic rowing skills. Brittany started coaching in 2013. 

Prior to coaching, Brittany obtained a B.S. Degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management, from San Jose State University, where she founded the SJSU rowing club. Brittany began rowing in SJSU's very first Beginning Rowing class, in 2011. 

She has also worked for over fifteen years as a swim instructor and three years as a high school tennis coach. Brittany is very passionate about coaching and an advocate for physical activity.
