Adult Masters Programs
LGRC offers a variety of programs and support for both sweep rowing (one oar per rower) and sculling (two oars per rower). These programs are designed to meet the needs of participants at all skill levels, including first-timers. While LGRC’s sweep programs are oriented around competitive events (regattas), sculling is equally enjoyed as a recreational, training or competitive form of rowing. Coached sweep programs run year around with registration periods at the beginning of each session. Spring season (April - July), fall season (August - November), winter season (January - April). To join an ongoing program please contact the coaches listed in each program below.
After completion of the Adult Learn-To-Row, LGRC provides various options including the following:
Masters Novice Coached Program
Meeting 3 days a week, the coached Masters Novice sweep program emphasizes fitness, technique and team bonding. Participants should expect fitness training both on and off the water, erg work, and technique work. Completion of a Learn-To-Row program or previous sweep rowing experience is required.
Questions regarding the Masters Novice Program - contact Coach Brittany at email@example.com.
Several options are available to the experienced rower interested in joining LGRC.
Rowers can meet with one of our coaches to be cleared for club sculling equipment use or rowers interested in a sweep-rowing program (co-ed novice program, men's competitive program or women's competitive program) can contact our program director to determine which program is the best fit. Please contact Director of Rowing Jaime Velez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
