Community Rowing Program- Session 2

Beginner rowers, male and female. No prior experience necessary.
Program Description
Our week-long camp is designed to introduce middle school aged boys and girls to the sport of rowing. Athletes will be picked up at KIPP Heritage Academy and be driven by LGRC Coaches to Lexington Reservoir, in the Los Gatos Hills in a 15 passenger Van. The camp will focus on learning to row and different methods of training: running, and erging (rowing machine). Daily Schedule (Monday- Thursday) 11:30am: Pick up at KIPP Heritage (vans depart at 11:35am) Noon - 2:30pm: Rowing Instruction at Lexington Reservoir 2:30pm: Depart Lexington and head back to KIPP Heritage 3pm: Drop off at KIPP Heritage Participants will need to submit a negative Covid-19 PCR Test prior to be able to participate in the program or provide proof of vaccination. Participants are expected to be energetic and bring a positive attitude. Athletes will be interacting with a variety of other athletes, coaches, and staff and should be intent on learning and having a great time!
The maximum number of participants per session is 12 (due to space and equipment limitations).
Cost:
There is no cost for this Camp. All Campers will be given an LGRC Learn To Row T-shirt and a snack.
