What is this?
Free intra-club racing for the LGRC community and club-invited guests.

Enter to race in either or both of two events. Event 1 (small boats): Buoy & Gate: race approximately 750m from dam around to boathouse navigating past two buoys, turning at one buoy, and passing a buoyed gate near the finish line. Event 2 (all boats): Chase the Rabbit: pre-designated groups of 2 to 4 boats race sprint style from the dam to the boathouse (500m), with one boat (the rabbit) given a head start and the other boat(s) giving chase.

The order of finish for each event will be determined by age-handicapped times for covering the course (further adjusted for head starts in Chase the Rabbit). The fastest boats by boat class, age category and line-up composition will each be recognized in the final speed order.

Organize your own boats. Racing will be conducted over a series of approximately four or five flights. Small boat line-ups registering to race in both events would race both events as part of a single flight. Each line-up can register to race once or twice in an event. Racing is open to all experience levels; flights, groupings and race order will take differences in experience into account. Request your preferred equipment (subject to confirmation). Small cups of berries given to all. Trophies for each event available for trophy selfies. The regatta starts at 6:30 am with a participant meeting and will end near 1:00 pm after eating berries. Start and finish line volunteers needed to work various shifts.

Contact Mark Klitgaard at mark@lgrc.org to obtain more details (i.e., the flyer), register, request equipment or volunteer.
